The final concise route will be determined nearer the time due to political and safety issues. It is important to choose the right time to travel to particular countries.

 

As above the trip will be approached in 7 phases. Each phase covering 1 continent. The continents will be completed individually before moving on to the next continent.

 

The areas of the world will be approached in the below order.

 

1. North America

2. South America

3. Africa

4. Europe

5. Asia

6. Oceania/Australasia

7. Antarctica

 

The reason for breaking the trip down into stages are 1) Break the trip up into manageable pieces. 2) Returning to the UK after each phase to drop off media files, souvenirs, photos, and top up on supplies such as kit and especially collect kit that is temperature sensitive. 3) Build in the contingency time as buffer (a week or so) to allow for unforeseen delays or mishaps
